If you want to protect your server from prying eyes, use a secure connection to log in with your admin account.
Using Let’sencrypt, this is how you set up a free SSL connection in DirectAdmin:
Step 1:
Ensure the Hostname used by your DirectAdmin server is valid, and resolves to the server IP address.

Follow the instructions here, at the paragraph called Using the free “Let’s Encrypt” tool to secure 2222. Be sure to actually enter your hostname there, and follow the resulting tailored scipt exactly.
